The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - NEET(UG) is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission into undergraduate medical education in all medical institutions. The NTA, an independent, autonomous and self-sustained testing organisation established by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India conducts the NEET exam every year in offline mode in 13 languages English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu ensuring access to all students across the country. According to Section 14 of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine Act, 2020, a standardized NEET (UG) will be conducted for admissions to undergraduate programs in each discipline, including BAMS, BUMS, and BSMS courses of the Indian System of Medicine, across all medical institutions regulated by this legislation. The exams also determine eligibility for admission to BSc Nursing courses, including those in Military Nursing Service hospitals.
